Welcome on our Grand Finland Tour – Self Drive! On this tour, you will visit the most exciting places in the Finland. Visit different cities with their different histories and winter wonders, wonderful nature and few of the most beautiful places in Finland. Enjoy also your free time in each city and make the day on your wishes. On this Grand Finland Tour – Self Drive you have optional choice to add extra options like rental car and many different guided tours.
Overnight in 3/4* Hotels or Cabins: Helsinki, Karrina, Turku, Rauma, Vaasa, Oulo, Rovaniemi, Kuusamo, Kajaani, Kuopio, Savonlinna, Lappeenranta and Porvoo. Hotel information will be provided after booking is confirmed.
Car rental is optional choice which you can add to your booking above. Pick up your car on your arrival at the airport. Including unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: €300- €1300.00), Theft Protection, Airport surcharge, Third Party Liability, Road tax, Fuel policy is Full to full).

Today we welcome you to beautiful Finland. Arrive in Helsinki and pick up your rental car.If you arrive on early flight explore Helsinki before heading on your 13 day journey!
Your accommodation is located about 210km outside in city Helsinki in a city Karrina. Afternoon free to enjoy, check in hotel and enjoy the day!
Karrina – Storlandet – Kyrklandet – Turku
Enjoy a free day for sightseeing. Drive along the small islands and enjoy the views. Evening arrive in Turku hotel. Explore Turku and enjoy local cuisine.
Turku – Rauma
Today you travel through the Finland’s country side to your next destination Rauma. Small but charming city. Enjoy on your own.
Rauma – Vaasa
Today you set off to Vaasa. On the way making a stop in smaller villages to explore local life.
Final stop today will be in your accommodation which is located in Vaasa. Day is free to explore. Visit Kvarken Archipelago World Heritage Site.
Vaasa – Oulo
Today you travel to Oulo, which is a city located in central Finland. Visit city information center to discover options for different activities availability in the city.

Oulo – Kemi – Rovaniemi
Today you travel to Rovaniemi. But before that make a stop in Kemi. Here you can visit Ice Castle and Ice Breaker, exciting experience.
In the afternoon arrive in Rovaniemi and relax. Or optionally available many different tours and activities:

Rovaniemi – Kuusamo
Set off early as this will be quite a long day. There are different options available today on the way. For example stop at Ranua Wildlife Park to check out many different species that live in Finland lynx, polar bears and others. If you are still up for the last hike on this trip you can visit Riisitunturi National Park or Korouoma Nature Reserve. Finish late in the evening in Kuusamo.
Kuusamo – Kajaani
Before heading to Kajaani enjoy day of hiking in one of the National Parks. One of the popular hiking trails is Small Bear’s Trail which is 12km long. The hanging bridges along the route will take you to the most impressive waterfalls in Finland. While in Ruka you can hike up in the hills to admire the beautiful views.

Late in evening arrival in Kajaani.
Kajaani – Kuopio
Another day for hiking experience. On the way to Kuopio stop in Metsäkartano. There are few options to choose from. To start of nice and easy try Tiilikkajärvi National Park. This trail consists more of nice scenery and views. Another option is Hiidenportti National Park, this will be much more rough and for more experienced hikers. Possible to also enjoy guided hiking tour.In the evening arrival in Kuopio.
Kuopio – Savonlinna
Wake up nice and early today to enjoy Kuopio. Late drive to Savonlinna.Visit the Olavinlinna castle and hop on a steamboat cruise. Wander through the Old Town and eat Lörsty, Savonlinna’s local delicacy.
Savonlinna – Lappeenranta
After breakfast travel to your next destination – Lappeenranta. Scenic road goes near the Russian border. Check our the Sandcastles and Fortress. In the evening check in hotel and relax.
Lappeenranta – Porvoo
Your next stop is Porvoo, located approximately 170km from Lappeenranta. Enjoy medieval Porvoo city.
Porvoo – Helsinki
Gather all emotions and today you return to Helsinki. Hand over your rental car and say ”Good bye” to Finland until your next time. We hope you enjoyed your trip.
