Welcome on our Finnish National Parks! On this tour, you will visit the most exciting places in the Nordic part of Finland. 8 different cities with their different histories and winter wonders, wonderful nature and few of the most beautiful places in Finland. Enjoy also your free time in each city and make the day on your wishes. On this Finnish National Parks Tour you have optional choice to add extra options like rental car and many different guided tours.
Overnight in 3/4* Hotels or Cabins: Metsäkartano, Juntusranta, Kuhmo, Kuusamo, Rovaniemi. Hotel information will be provided after booking is confirmed.
Car rental is optional choice which you can add to your booking above. Pick up your car on your arrival at the airport. Including unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: €300- €1300.00), Theft Protection, Airport surcharge, Third Party Liability, Road tax, Fuel policy is Full to full).

Welcome to Koupio, Finland!
Today we welcome you to beautiful Finland. Arrive in Kuopio and pick up your rental car. Your accommodation is located about 125km outside in city Metsäkartano. Evening free to enjoy, check out tourism information center to discover different activities available.
Metsäkartano Hiking Experience
Today you can start our first hike. There are few options to choose from. To start of nice and easy try Tiilikkajärvi National Park. This trail consists more of nice scenery and views. Another option is Hiidenportti National Park, this will be much more rough and for more experienced hikers. Possible to also enjoy guided hiking tour with overnight in the wilderness.

Metsäkartano – Kuhmo
Today you travel through the Finland’s country side to your next destination Kuhmo. On the way make a stop to try out some local life and cuisine in a small village called Nurmes. In the afternoon arrive in your destination and explore on your own. Usually each year 2 weeks in July Kuhmo will be quite busy due to Chamber Music Festival.
Kuhmo – Juntusranta
Today you set off to Juntusranta. On the way making a stop in smaller villages Lentiira and Raate. This also is historic place of World War 2.
Final stop today will be in your accommodation which is located on the border with Russia in city Juntusranta. Day is free to explore or join other tours, for example, bear watching. Or just explore the nature on your own.
Juntusranta – Kuusamo
Today you drive to Kuusamo. Today free to explore and we suggest to do some hiking in Hossa National Park. It can be with guide or without. Most interesting hiking trails and maps you can find in tourist information center. Canoeing also is available for additional cost.
Oulanka National Park or Ruka
Free day for hiking in one of the National Parks. One of the popular hiking trails is Small Bear’s Trail which is 12km long. The hanging bridges along the route will take you to the most impressive waterfalls in Finland. While in Ruka you can hike up in the hills to admire the beautiful views.

Husamo – Rovaniemi
Set off early as this will be quite a long day. There are different options available today on the way. For example stop at Ranua Wildlife Park to check out many different species that live in Finland lynx, polar bears and others. If you are still up for the last hike on this trip you can visit Riisitunturi National Park or Korouoma Nature Reserve. Finish late in the evening in Rovaniemi.
Rovaniemi
Wake up with good memories from your trip, enjoy breakfast and head to airport for your flight. Hand over rental car and say ”Good Bye” to Finland until next time! We hope you enjoyed the trip.
