If you want fine dining, then there are plenty of options in Riga. Similarly, should you want to eat what the people eat, there is a vast array of wonderful restaurants that provide delicious samples of local cuisine.
When in Riga a visit the Pink Church is a must. It is hard to describe the Pink Church, but it hardly seems real at first. It is the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church and it looks more like a toy that goes on a cake.
Some people love to walk in a bog, heading out to the Kemeru Tirelis for an early morning boardwalk over the bog as the sun rises. There are also medieval castles and palaces that one can visit, and other buildings steeped in history and culture.
Walking the city is a very direct way to enjoy the local cuisine, scenery and people all at once, and it is a very friendly and embracing city so such a walk, with a little planning could be the highlight of your visit.

There is so much to do and see in Riga, but so many of the best sights and sounds are missed y people exploring the city too quickly.
